Some Practical Writing Advice

May 10, 2005 | Thoughts on Where and Where Not to Write

I’m currently working at a writing desk in front of a mirror and just realized that for the past half hour I’ve been giving myself the eye. This, needless to say, has added nothing to my productivity, and were I not in a hotel room with the furniture screwed firmly in place, I would remove the mirror and face the glass firmly against the wall.

Anyway, don’t write in front of a mirror. I, for one, am too easily distracted by the sight of myself sipping tea. And to make matters worse, I just got a new haircut. Digg Furl Reddit StumbleUpon Technorati
